A heart of stone holds a stone. A heart of flesh lets it go. 🪨❤️ In John 8, religious leaders use a woman as a prop for their weaponized righteousness. They are holding literal stones, but it's just the outward manifestation of the "heart of stone" Ezekiel warned us about. Jesus doesn't out-argue them; He just creates enough space for their hands to open. What are you holding in your hands today? A grudge? A judgment? A political attack? Lent is the season to drop the rocks.
