Daily Devotional for May 2, 2026

Let's talk about throwing stones. 🪨 When the empire runs out of words, it reaches for weapons. In Jer. 26, the empire murders the prophet Uriah for speaking truth to power. In John 8, Jesus claims the divine name—the name from the burning bush—and the leaders immediately pick up stones. But Jesus simply leaves. The violence of the world cannot stop the truth of the Kingdom. The empire can throw stones, but the Word of God slips right through its fingers. The truth is out.
