Let's talk about leaving the tollbooth. 🚶 In Gen 12, Abram is 75 when God tells him to leave the security of his country without a map. In Matthew 9, Matthew's entire identity and income are tied to the Roman tollbooth. Jesus says "Follow me," and Matthew walks away without two weeks' notice. The empire demands sacrifice and says someone always has to pay. But Jesus says, "I desire mercy, not sacrifice." You can just get up and follow the call of mercy. Step away today.
