Let's talk about extravagant hospitality. 🐪 In Genesis 24, Abraham's servant arrives at a well with ten camels. Before he even finishes praying, Rebekah walks up and volunteers to water them all. Doing the "camel math," that means drawing hundreds of gallons of water by hand for a complete stranger. It is extravagant, uncalculated Kingdom generosity. In Mark 7, we see the exact opposite. Jesus calls out the religious elites for using a loophole called "Corban" to avoid taking care of their aging parents. The empire's religious system uses a spreadsheet of rules to calculate the bare minimum of love you have to show. But the Kingdom is Rebekah at the well. It searches for opportunities to love more. Water some camels today.
