Let's talk about giving it away. 🌾 In Matthew 9, Jesus looks at the crowds and has compassion on them because they are "harassed and helpless"—the exact result of living under extractive empire systems. He tells his disciples to pray for laborers, and then in the same breath, he sends them out. Ask, and then go. He gives them one core operating principle: "You received without payment; give without payment." That isn't just a fundraising policy; it's the entire economy of the Kingdom in seven words. It's the Rebekah-at-the-well ethic. And in Romans 5, we see exactly what that ultimate unearned gift is: "God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us." The empire demands that you earn your keep and pay your dues. The Kingdom runs entirely on grace. Give it away today.
