Let's talk about grace for the worst person in the room. 🤯 Yesterday, Ahab and Jezebel murdered Naboth over a vegetable garden. Today, in 1 Kings 21, God sends Elijah to the crime scene. Ahab is standing in the evidence. Elijah delivers a devastating, visceral judgment. But then, the worst, most corrupt king in Israel's history does the unexpected: he repents. And God extends grace. The empire's logic says some people are too far gone and that justice and grace are opposites. But the Kingdom says: even Ahab. In 1 John 4, we are commanded to "test the spirits." Does a system operate like the empire, taking what it wants and never humbling itself? Or does it look like the God who extends grace to the worst person in the room? 🕊️✨
