Daily Devotional for Jul 4, 2026

2026-07-04: Let's talk about a different kind of power. 🎆 The empire knows how to party. Today is the Fourth of July, a day built around the loud, explosive celebration of military might. But into all of that noise, Zechariah 4 gives us a completely different metric for moving mountains: "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit." The empire uses cannons, coercion, and top-down authority; the Kingdom uses the Spirit. Might is loud, but it leaves collateral damage. The Spirit is quiet, but it heals. In Luke 10, Jesus rejoices that God has bypassed the situation room, hiding the truth from the "wise" elites and revealing it to the vulnerable. Kings and prophets longed to see what the Spirit is doing! Today, the empire will celebrate with power, noise, and lights in the sky. But the Kingdom is doing something quieter—something the empire can't manufacture, control, or stop. Look for the Spirit today! ✨
