2026-07-05: Let's talk about the exhaustion of the empire. 😮‍💨 In Romans 7, Paul hits a breaking point with the grinding, exhausting experience of defaulting to the empire's patterns of anxiety and performance. He cries out, "Wretched man that I am!" The empire is an exhausting taskmaster; it puts a heavy yoke around your neck designed to extract from you until you drop. But right into that deep exhaustion, Jesus speaks in Matthew 11: "Come to me, all you that are weary… and I will give you rest." Jesus offers a completely different way to be in the world. The Kingdom's yoke is easy and light because it is rooted in grace. Kingdom work doesn't drain your soul—it restores it. Paul's cry gets answered not by a new set of rules, but by an invitation to rest. The empire exhausts you on purpose. The Kingdom offers you something the empire can never manufacture. Come and rest today. 🕊️✨
