Daily Devotional for Jul 8, 2026

2026-07-08: Let's talk about the hardware of the Kingdom. 🚰 For two days, we’ve explored the empire’s tools of domination: wooden yokes and iron bars. Today, in John 13, Jesus shows us what the Kingdom reaches for. Knowing he holds all cosmic authority, Jesus doesn't demand a throne. He ties a towel around his waist, pours a basin of water, and washes his disciples' feet. The empire asserts power by putting a yoke on your neck; the Kingdom gets on its knees to serve. In Jeremiah 13, a linen garment is buried in pride and ruined by the dirt. But Jesus takes a linen towel to wash the dirt away. Same cloth, completely different posture. Pick up the towel today. ✨
