2026-07-17: Let's talk about the gods we manufacture. 🪵 In Isaiah 44, the prophet delivers a brilliant satire of idolatry: a man uses half a log to bake his bread and warm his hands, and carves the leftover scraps into a god, begging it for salvation. It's easy to dismiss this as ancient history, but the empire is still an idol system. It takes the raw material of human life and manufactures gods—the market, the nation, the algorithm, the bottom line—and asks us to bow down to what it built. Here is the spiritual danger: you become what you worship. If you worship a senseless system, you develop eyes that can't see and a heart that can't feel. But if you worship the living God who entered our vulnerability to reach us, you start to look like that instead. Check what you're bowing to today. ✨
