2026-07-25: Let's talk about uncomfortable origin stories. 🏗️ The empire loves a mythic origin story carved from pure marble to justify its present power. But the Kingdom doesn't care about any of that. In Genesis 29 and 30, we get the origin story of the twelve tribes of Israel, and it is a masterclass in dysfunction, heartbreak, and desperation. The empire would redact this history, but the Kingdom puts it right in the text. God doesn't need a pristine foundation or flawless moral actors to build something holy; God uses the mess as raw material. In Matthew 12, Jesus points the Pharisees demanding credentials to his own uncomfortable, tragic origin story: the cross and the empty tomb. It’s an origin built on vulnerability, for our salvation. You don't need a perfect origin story to be part of what God is building. Stop waiting for perfect today. ✨
