2026-07-28: Let's talk about battle armor and speckled sheep. 🛡️ In Genesis 30, Jacob fights Laban's wage theft using ancient folk genetics—placing peeled, striped sticks in front of the watering troughs to breed speckled sheep. It's cunning, strategic, and manipulative. He puts on the empire's armor to survive the empire. But in Ephesians 6, Paul describes a completely different kind of armor: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Spirit. Every piece of this armor is relational rather than strategic. It isn't something you manufacture at a watering trough; it’s something you receive. The empire's armor is designed to out-maneuver the person trying to out-maneuver you. But the armor of God doesn't maneuver at all—its purpose is to help you stand firm. Jacob's sticks kind of worked. God's armor actually wins. What are you wearing for today's battles? ✨
