2026-08-03: Let's talk about ceasefires and tent searches. ⛺️ This week we are looking at the messy reality of peace. In Genesis 31, Laban catches up to a fleeing Jacob. After a tense tent search turns up empty, Jacob unloads twenty years of grievances. The empire exploits you and then gaslights you into thinking it was fair. But Jacob refuses the gaslighting and names the injustice out loud. Their resolution isn't a hug and a restored friendship; it's a pile of rocks. Sometimes, that is exactly what peace looks like. But in Romans 1, Paul shows us where peace is ultimately heading.
